I have been an English teacher for 25 years and for 8 of these, I have been Head of Department. I am also an examiner with AQA although I have taught most of the exam boards over the years including Edexcel, OCR, iGCSE, WJEC. Additionally, I have taught in a number of schools from the highest performing school which was in the top 5% for progress in the country to schools in special measures and across these I have worked with a vast number of SEND children. I am particularly experienced with ASD students as two of the schools I worked at had specialist ASD units. I have an English and Victorian Studies BA (Hons) degree and a PGCE qualification in English and Drama.
